§2 An Eacademy

An Eacademy is a Norwegian company with organization number 917765677.

§3 Purchase and Registration

To participate in An Eacademy‘s education programs, the Customer must have applied for and been allocated a study place. All registrations are binding. The Customer is considered registered when An Eacademy has received the registration. Access to the online portal (thinkific.com) starts 14 days after the application is received. Even if the customer has not received this, they must still cancel within 14 days if they change their mind.

By purchasing an Online Course, the Customer receives a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable right to access the relevant Online Study program(s) purchased. The access cannot be licensed to others. Unless otherwise described in the product description, access to the individual Online Study program is personal. Access rights can therefore not be transferred or used by a third party.

§4 Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation

The Customer may cancel/withdraw the registration without further justification within 14 days after the applicant has sent the application. Any course fee paid will be refunded according to the following model:

Postponement of study start: The right of withdrawal applies from the registration date. The study starts after 14 days, unless an agreement for a different start date has been made in the application. If the Customer cancels/withdraws the registration after this deadline, the course fee must be paid in full. The student must contact an advisor if they have not received access to the study within three weeks after registration or have not understood how to log in.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must give written notice to An Eacademy‘s administration. The notice must clearly state that the Customer is exercising the right of withdrawal. Notification by telephone, or failure to appear, is not valid notice of cancellation. Even if the participant has not received confirmation of the study place, the participant must still cancel within the deadline. This may be due to the confirmation being sorted into the participant’s spam folder or similar issues. In such cases, the course fee must be paid in full. Cancellation must be made in writing, and An Eacademy will provide notification when it is received. If the student has not received a notification, they must inform us, as it is possible that it was not received.

Confirmation can be sent by letter, email, SMS, electronic message, or similar means. If the customer has not received this, they must still cancel within 14 days if they change their mind. If the customer has not received confirmation, the cancellation is not valid, as we have not received it. For Online Courses/Studies, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies unless the relevant course has been started. The right of withdrawal form can be found at the bottom of the terms and conditions.

§5 Payment

The course fee must be paid within one month after the course starts, unless otherwise agreed. If the student changes their mind or wishes to terminate after the right of withdrawal has expired, An Eacademy will not refund the money, and the tuition fee must be paid in full. A reminder fee will be added for late payment. Failure to make payment will not affect the right of withdrawal.

§6 Purchase of Study Place

When the Customer applies for a study place at An Eacademy, the Customer will receive access to the Online Course(s) covered by the relevant study program. The tuition fee is paid monthly using the payment options available on the Website at any given time. It may be possible to agree on a different repayment schedule, and An Eacademy will be helpful in responding to this. The subscription runs until the study program has been paid for in full.

An Eacademy has the right to change the price for a new academic year.

§7 Implementation

An Eacademy has the right to make changes to the Courses, including the course structure, curricula, teaching staff, tuition fees, teaching times, and more; provided that the changes do not entail a significant disadvantage for the Customer, or that the changes constitute a material alteration of the original Course.

For Online Studies, An Eacademy may upgrade, modify, change, or improve the various study programs, as long as it does not result in a significant disadvantage for the Customer’s use of the courses.

The study period is set to one year, but An Eacademy may extend the reading period (access to the online portal) for the student so that the student can take the exam after one year has passed. The study period will not be extended for this reason. This means that resources for guidance, grading of assignments, and teacher resources are allocated for only one year (the one-year study period). During the study period, An Eacademy staff will grade assignments (with comments), grade the exam (with a mark), and guide the student. One hour of guidance is allocated per month for each student. The student must contact us themselves if guidance is needed. Needs exceeding one school hour per month must be purchased additionally. Should the student require a study period beyond one year, they must apply for an extension. The reading period can be extended by providing notification.

An Eacademy has the right to cancel courses and education programs that do not have a sufficient number of registered participants, or where other unforeseen circumstances make the implementation of the Course difficult. In such cases, the Customer will be notified that the course is canceled. Any paid course fee will be refunded in full.

As a general rule, Courses at An Eacademy follow school holidays and days off unless otherwise specified.

For Sales Trade Training (the path to a trade certificate in the Sales Trade): Practice candidates must have 5 years of work experience from relevant work before taking the sales trade exam/test. Practice candidates must verify that they have enough experience before registering for the private candidate exam and the trade test. Furthermore, if they apply for a loan from Lånekassen (the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund), it is assumed that the student has verified this or checked with the county authority. Training in the sales trade is voluntary and is not part of the animal subjects at An Eacademy. However, it is possible for students to receive training in the sales trade for those who wish it and potentially apply to Lånekassen on that basis.

The Customer may, after completing the course, request a course certificate from An Eacademy. This only applies if the Customer has participated in a minimum of 75% of the course sessions. Upon completion of the exam, there will be two examiners. The co-examiner does not communicate with the student directly, so only one person communicates with the student. This ensures clearer communication; therefore, all communication regarding grades, etc., must be directed to post@aneacademy.com. The diploma is sent digitally.

Recordings of lectures are made. The student must turn off the camera and possibly enter with a guest name if they do not want other students to see them and their name. The lectures are only available internally on the online school. During an oral exam, a local voice recorder may be used for the co-examiner. We will provide notice when this is done. This recording is deleted after use. Any complaint regarding a grade must therefore be made within 14 days and can be sent to post@aneacademy.com.

a) provide true, accurate, current, and complete information in accordance with the requirements for account registration, or use of the Service.

An Eacademy will periodically review and amend the Service and this Agreement to reflect changes in the business needs, including, but not limited to, changes in teacher capacity, features and functionality, changes in market conditions, changes in technology and names, changes in payment methods, as well as changes in relevant laws and regulations.

The changes shall take effect no earlier than 14 days after they have been communicated to the Customer, either through direct communication or through publication on the Website.

Continued use of the Service after the announcement of amended agreement terms means that the Customer accepts and consents to the changes, provided that the amended terms are not to the disadvantage of the Customer.

§12 Force Majeure

An Eacademy is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by unforeseeable events beyond An Eacademy‘s control (“force majeure”).

Force majeure includes any act, event, non-event, omission, or accident beyond An Eacademy‘s control, including, but not limited to, restrictions through law, regulation, order, or other governmental directives, strikes, natural disasters, third-party mechanical or other equipment failures, terrorist attacks, fire, explosions, fiber optic cable cuts, interruptions or failures in telecommunications or digital transmission links, internet failures or delays, storms, or other similar events.

§12 General Reservations

The Customer’s use of the Service or elements obtained through the Service is at their own risk. The Services are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, direct or indirect. An Eacademy thus gives no guarantee for, nor takes responsibility for, the content provided by An Eacademy, including from experts, being accurate, complete, and error-free. Furthermore, An Eacademy gives no guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or products obtained through the Service will meet the Customer’s needs or expectations. In the event of a complaint regarding study material content, An Eacademy follows the Sale of Goods Act, which stipulates that there is a right to three attempts to correct errors or something the user is dissatisfied with. We strive to a great extent to work towards customer satisfaction and request specific details of what the customer may be dissatisfied with regarding the content. As long as we follow the curriculum on the online platform, our requirements for content are met.

An Eacademy disclaims all liability for any loss or damage that may arise as a result of the Customer’s application of information and knowledge acquired through the use of the Service.

An Eacademy reserves the right for any printing/typing errors on the Website, in course information, course descriptions, exam schedules, and other documentation for which Sales Terms 6 apply to the Service. The Website may contain links to other websites not operated by or related to An Eacademy. An Eacademy is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed on such third-party websites, and is not obliged to investigate, monitor, or control these websites for accuracy or completeness.

A Customer who leaves the Website to access third-party websites does so at their own risk.

If negotiations are unsuccessful, the dispute shall be resolved through ordinary court proceedings at the district court as the legal venue.
