WELCOME TO THE DOG GROOMING TRAINING
Animal behavior and treatment are an important focus for us, so that you can meet your dog in such a way that it will be safe and feel well at the dog groomer. We will work to ensure that you understand different cutting techniques and what standards there are for several different breeds. Both for exhibitions and everyday cutting. In addition to the dog being happy, we also want you to learn how to keep the customer satisfied and attract more customers to the business.

Program Structure
Two organized meetings are held each week, corresponding to one main session per half-year, with additional theory sessions conducted via Teams. On average, there is one evening meeting per month. Between each meeting, you will complete assignments that receive individual feedback. Practical exercises are included and can be completed either at home or at the Animal Center.
The academic year begins in August or January and concludes in June or December of the following year. Students are assessed through mid-term evaluations and a final exam, upon which a final diploma is awarded.
It is also possible to apply for admission outside the regular intake through our Practice Candidate program. In this pathway, students follow the online training while completing the practical dog grooming component directly under the supervision of a professional dog groomer. This option provides greater flexibility and individual adaptation.
Theoretical education comprises 400 hours, including coursework in dog grooming.
Learning Format
The entire program is delivered online, with weekly assignments and continuous guidance. You may follow the suggested timeline or adjust it according to your personal circumstances. Weekly webinars and lectures are available through our online portal, each accompanied by assignments that help you prepare effectively for exams. Feedback and written comments are provided for all submissions.
In addition, our lecturers organize regular interactive meetings where students can ask questions, participate in study groups, and discuss topics with both instructors and peers. If you are unable to attend a session due to illness or other reasons, recordings are made available afterwards so you can catch up easily.

Each student receives a basic equipment package, which includes:
Thinning shears and long scissors (Roseline) with case
Nail clippers
Comb
Nipping stone
Apron and gloves
During the program, you will also become familiar with a range of professional tools and learn how to select the right machines, scissors, and accessories for your needs. Students gain access to a partner equipment supplier and receive a student discount account for purchasing at reduced prices.

A professional dog groomer must possess both technical skill and a deep understanding of animal welfare and behavior.
Graduates will be able to:

Apply various clipping and grooming techniques suited to individual breeds and coat types

Market and promote the grooming business effectively
Dog groomers may work in a variety of animal care environments and must therefore understand the needs of the animals they handle. They should be capable of working independently, recognizing necessary tasks, and taking initiative.
Throughout the education, emphasis is placed on developing these professional and personal qualities to prepare students for success in the field.
Job opportunities
Dog groomers can work independently, in a clinic, pet store, kennel, etc. There is a need for trained dog groomers since there are many people working in the industry who do not know the profession and because the industry and the need are growing.
The school year
We have a maximum of 8 students per school year. So that each participant will receive good individual follow-up, guidance and good academic benefit. There is both practical and theoretical training, and there are many lessons with clipping to become a good and safe dog groomer. There is a separate online school for the study where the team’s lectures and films from the teaching are posted. In addition to this, a number of lectures have been prepared and are available on the online school.

Prerequisites
It is not a requirement to have clipped dogs before, but it is an advantage if you have experience with dogs. You will learn how to handle dogs and what precautions to take. So that you will gain good knowledge and a good basis for meeting them regardless of their background and behavior.

PRICES AND REGISTRATION
The education costs a total of 4950 EUR,-
Once you have registered, you must pay the first monthly fee of 130 EUR.
The tuition fee includes tuition, guidance, exam fee, the starter package for clipping and subject material (online). This can be divided into monthly installments. You can then choose an interest-free arrangement over about 1 year or apply for a loan with monthly installments over 3 years. The total cost is 58900,- regardless of which payment arrangement you choose.
The study cost can be divided up to 130 EUR,- per month.
You agree with An e-academy whether the entire amount is paid at once or through several installments. It is possible to reduce the monthly payment, but then the repayment takes longer and we must approve this, so please call us about it.
